NAME: PEPPER
AGE: 28 Yrs old BREED: BLACK AND WHITE PAINT - GELDING HANDS: 15.2 Hands tall INJURIES/RESTRICTIONS: Pepper’s arthritis is progressing so he has OFFICIALLY retired from riding and it is something he takes very personally. Regardless, he is never too old to provide therapy for anyone needing a hug, an ear to listen or just provide great company. HISTORY: Pepper used to be a 4H horse. He is a very trusting and patient horse. He was donated to MJM by a dear friend who wanted the best life for him. Since his arrival he has given many riding lessons, been the greeter of the herd, and offered therapy to many. SKILL SET LEVEL: Whether you are a professional rider or a toddler who has never seen a horse, you can bet Pepper is our first pick for you. He is as sure as they come. As he is making his decision whether he is ready to retire he will continue to be a steady and sure ride for smaller riders and beginners. CURRENT DIET: Pepper eats a simple diet for the most part. He has mixed grains twice a day with supplements, hay 24/7 and is greatly benefitting from Equine CBD treats. Not only are they yummy but they give him relief with his arthritis. MORE ABOUT Pepper: Paired with a wonderful personality, he is clever, funny (especially when it comes to gates and exit strategies) and so handsome! Pepper has a great trot and a comfortable gait. He was more than impressive on his last trail ride and is always the flashy one in a parade. From pics above you’ll notice Pepper is many young (and older!) rider’s FIRST HORSEBACK RIDE! Prior to being retired, Pepper was the first horse to offer a new rider their first experience and he NEVER disappointed. His patience is unprecedented. To know Pepper, is to love Pepper.
